The Alpinia garden (until the end of the Fascist period called "Duxia") was officially founded in 1934 by Igino Ambrosini and Giuseppe Rossi; at the time of the inauguration it is one of the first examples of Alpine botanical garden present in Italy and this immediately gives it notoriety, together with the appreciation reached by international naturalists and botanists. «I saw where Duxia was born, I saw many beautiful places in Europe and America, I declare that the belvedere of the Alpine is the most beautiful in the world.
